Our staff is anchored by a multicultural primary care team that serves alongside roughly 300 volunteer interpreters, doctors, nurses, and other licensed medical specialists each year to provide comprehensive health care to Nashville’s most vulnerable.

Job Description
Siloam Health Advanced Practice Providers deliver clinically excellent and culturally sensitive primary care to our diverse patient population. APPs are an integral part of our clinical team as we live out our mission and vision: “to share the love of Christ by serving those in need through health care” and ensure that “our neighbors from all nations are empowered to live physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthy lives and to feel at home in our community.”
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive physical exams
Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses in children and adults
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Provide preventative care and health education
Collaborate with on-site multidisciplinary care team as well as outside specialists to deliver whole-person care
Perform minor procedures as indicated and as trained
Adhere to established guidelines and up-to-date practice standards
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Practice under physician supervision as required by law
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
Remain current in the latest health care trends, research, and information
Maintain board certification in field and continuing education credits
Participate in ongoing quality improvement (QI) activities within defined roles
Work with all staff to train volunteers as needed
Participate in Siloam Health’s professional education component to train APRN and/or PA students
Provide input for annual staff nursing performance reviews
Qualifications, Skills, Education
Education and Experience
Current State of Tennessee Advanced Practice Nursing or Physician Assistant License
Master’s degree in area of specialty
National board certification in area of specialty
A minimum of one year’s primary care practice experience after completion of final preceptorship, greater than three years of experience preferred
Experience in providing care to patients from multicultural backgrounds
Language Proficiency in English/Spanish or English/Arabic preferred
Qualifications
Passionate about Christian ministry to the underserved and in full agreement with Siloam’s mission and core values
Willingness to serve persons with limited access to healthcare and who are from different cultures and faith beliefs
Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office products as well as electronic medical records
Knowledge of primary care principles and practices
Basic understanding of and desire to grow in delivering whole-person health care
Adherence to OSHA and confidentiality requirements
Ability to work well in a team setting
Able to perform moderate physical activity
Special Conditions of Employment
