Job Title: Behavioral Health Provider
Job Description
Inner City Health’s Behavioral Health team is integrated with the medical and dental clinics, focusing on an integrated patient centered care model. The Behavioral Health Provider at Inner City Health will assist in the care of patients of any age and with any health condition, delivering education and interventions to support an integrated health team. The ideal candidate will provide behavioral health assessments, diagnosis, on-going therapy and provide same day interventions as well as crisis interventions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Utilize brief psychological screening tools and clinical interviewing skills to provide a comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plan.
2. Evaluate patients in crisis situations (such as those experiencing suicidal and homicidal ideation) to determine appropriate course of intervention and execute referrals, as necessary.
3. Employ motivational interviewing interventions to address behavioral health needs.
4. Make appropriate referrals to Psychiatry services, Spiritual Health, and community-based referral partners as necessary.
5. Facilitate holistic and comprehensive healthcare within an integrated primary care setting.
6. Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to address behavioral, physical, and spiritual health.
7. Provide individual psychotherapy services and other appropriate interventions for patients across the age continuum.
8. Actively participate in meetings and training courses that support the clinic’s integrated health care model to provide comprehensive care for clients.
9. Engage in appropriate supervision and document encounters properly to ensure ethical service delivery.
10. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications, Skills, Education
Education and/or Experience
• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field and licensed or eligible for Colorado state licensure
• Two (2) years of clinical experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Physical And Equipment Requirements
• Normal work environment is in an office and medical and dental clinical setting, which involves some physical risks requiring basic safety precautions.
• This position routinely requires sitting, standing, bending/stooping, operating a computer for extended periods, and lifting or carrying objects up to 25 pounds.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
• This position requires ability to hear routine conversations and to have the ability to comprehend both oral and written communications
