Job Title: Staff Physician (MD/DO)
Job Description
The primary objective of the Staff Physician is to deliver clinically excellent and culturally sensitive whole-person primary care to our diverse patient population. The Staff Physician will participate in various clinical initiatives in collaboration with community partners. A secondary objective is to provide clinical oversight and supervision of Advance Practice Providers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive physical exams.
Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses in children and adults.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Provide preventative care and health education
Collaborate with on-site multidisciplinary care team as well as outside specialists to deliver whole-person care
Perform minor procedures as indicated and as trained.
Adhere to established guidelines and up-to-date practice standards
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain medical license, board certification, and CME credits for licensure.
Supervise 1-2 Advanced Practice Providers (co-sign and review 20% of charts)
Perform chart reviews of assigned residents and volunteer physicians.
Participate in Siloam Health’s professional education component to precept medical students and residents as needed
Participate in on-going quality improvement (QI) activities within the roles defined above
Provide input for annual staff nursing performance reviews.

Education & Experience
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree
Tennessee Medical License
Board certification in family medicine or internal medicine-pediatrics
Experience in providing care to patients from multi-cultural backgrounds
Special Conditions of Employment
Recent TB screening with IGRA
Proof of Hepatitis B immunity
Bi-annual CPR training for BLS certification
Qualifications
Passionate about Christian ministry to the underserved and in full agreement with Siloam’s mission and core values
Willingness to serve persons with limited access to healthcare and who are from different cultures and faith beliefs
Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office products as well as electronic medical records
Understanding of and desire to grow in delivering whole-person health care
Adherence to OSHA and confidentiality requirements
Serve as a team member supporting other team members
Able to perform moderate physical activity
Bilingual – English/Spanish or English/Arabic – is preferred.
