Our Health Center is a place that is unlike any other. If you are expecting a large clinic machine that cranks out people every 15 minutes and matches your RVU to your compensation, then this is not a place for you! But if you want to be in a place where we dream big fat hairy dreams where healthcare is not “wealth care” and “poor care”, but where both rich and poor bring out the best in each other through the saving work of Christ, then please consider us. This is a place where the beauty and diversity of our Northern California communities - Spanish speaking communities in San Jose / East Palo Alto, or Muslim-background communities in Sacramento - are loved and welcomed. And as a physician at our health center, you get to creatively think of outside-of-the-box ways to improve health in each culture, you get to partner with a community health team to address whole person care, and you get to share the love of Jesus through health care, soul care, and culture care. Our entire staff is involved in facilitating Whole Person Care, i.e. caring for each patient physically, emotionally, psychologically, socially and spiritually.
Mission & Passions
We believe that healthcare should not be “wealth care” and “poor care”, but where both rich and poor bring out the best in each other through the saving work of Christ. We have a unique model of concierge care that serves both the rich and poor. Every full-paying concierge member pays for two low-income members of the practice. The founders of the clinic have been living intentionally within the neighborhood that they serve for the past 15 years. Physicians at our health center get to creatively think of outside-of-the-box to develop ways to improve health in each culture represented. At each site, they get to partner with a community health team to address whole person care, and you will be able to share the love of Jesus through health care, soul care, and culture care.
We operate two very different clinical sites -
1. Christian Health Center has two sites in the Sacramento area, and our physicians share time at both sites. The first site is focused on caring for Afghan refugees, while the second site is focused on concierge care for wealthier patients. As the state capitol, Sacramento boasts one of the most culturally and racially diverse demographics in the nation. It is also within driving distance of Lake Tahoe, Napa Valley and San Francisco.
2. Christian Health Center is located right in the center of San Jose, just a few blocks from downtown, in the heart of Silicon Valley. It is in the Washington/Guadalupe neighborhood, a charming and vibrant community of Spanish-speaking immigrants from Mexico and Central America. Just a few blocks west is the upscale neighborhood of Willow Glen. This site cares for everyone from wealthy concierge patients to recently immigrated Central Americans. Much of the day is in Spanish, and there is a beautiful mix of ages and socioeconomics.
