Job Title - Bilingual Behavioral Health Provider

Job Description· 

Under the supervision of the Behavioral Health Director the ideal candidate assists in the care of patients of any age and with any health condition; delivering education and interventions to support integrated health team.

This position is committed to providing outstanding customer service to all individuals, whether they are internal team members, members of the management team, the executive committee, the Board of Directors, patients or members of the communities we serve. The selected candidate’s goals, objectives, actions, and decisions must be consistent with the health center’s mission statement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Utilize brief psychological screening tools and clinical interviewing skills to provide a comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plan.

2) Utilize or provide substance use screening treatment intervention.

3) Evaluate patients in crisis situations (such as those experiencing suicidal and homicidal ideation) to determine appropriate course of intervention and execute referrals, as necessary.

4) Employ motivational interviewing interventions to address behavioral health needs.

5) Facilitate group-based psycho-educational interventions.

6) Make appropriate referrals to Psychiatry services, Spiritual Health, and community-based referral partners as necessary.

7) Facilitate holistic and comprehensive healthcare within an integrated primary care setting.

8) Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to address behavioral, physical, and spiritual health.

9) Provide individual psychotherapy services and other appropriate interventions for patients across the age continuum.

10) Actively participate in meetings and training’s that support the clinic’s integrated health care model to provide comprehensive care for clients.

11) Engage in appropriate supervision and document encounters properly to ensure ethical service delivery.

12) Perform other duties as required.

JOB Qualifications Education, Skills, & Experience

Education and/or Experience:

· Master’s degree in Social Work or related field (LCSW or LPC) in the State of Colorado and registered for (LSW or LPCC) licensure through DORA.

· Two (2) years of clinical experience preferred.

· Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.

· Experience providing brief interventions and providing individual, couples, family, and group counseling.

· Experience working with diverse populations.

Physical And Equipment Requirements:

· Normal work environment is in an office and medical and dental clinical setting, which involves some physical risks requiring basic safety precautions.

· This position routinely requires sitting, standing, bending/stooping, operating a computer for extended periods, and lifting or carrying objects up to 25 pounds.

· Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

· This position requires ability to hear routine conversations and to have the ability to comprehend both oral and written communications

· Must comply with health center policy on use of cell phones while driving a car on clinic business.
