Overview

A faith-friendly outpatient family medicine practice in northeastern Maryland that supports a co-located charitable walk-in clinic for the Latin American population. Our advanced care PCMH practice ensures agile decision-making, abundant staff support, and a friendly, supportive work environment. Care managers are embedded into our workflow. We provide Network TableTM volunteer mutual support table supporting our neediest patients. Our community has a population of 2,781 and is a residential community and business hub located in northeastern Maryland on a rural stretch just north of I-95. We are 15-30 minutes from multiple rivers and Chesapeake Bay access points with lots of hiking trails. We strive to maintain an atmosphere that provides consistently competent and timely patient care, cultivates provider skills, fosters creativity, nurtures teamwork, and sustains personal well-being. Our practice has a faith-friendly atmosphere in which faith issues are freely and openly discussed among staff and patients as relationships develop. Daily prayer occurs during morning provider and staff huddles. Praying with patients and staff is not uncommon. We have received several awards as an advanced care practice, and have been part of several advanced primary care initiatives. Patient-centered whole person care is maintained with provider-centric workflows and onsite care manager point of care support.

Job Title - Family Physician

Job Description· 

Independent, outpatient-only, well-established practice in northeastern Maryland seeking 1-2 full to part-time BC/BE family physicians to join 1 MD/ 1 PA-C. Our advanced care independent practice ensures agile decision-making. The primary clinic is the employer, with an expectation of 31.5 patient hours per week, and the charitable clinic work would be up to 4 hours a week. Practice opportunity highlights include:

• Challenging medically diverse, newborn to geriatric, outpatient community medicine including minor office-based surgeries and procedures, local skilled nursing home privileges, and house calls

• 22 patients per day per provider on average

• 32.5 patient hours per average week with alternating Fridays off (full time)

• Imbedded office-based IT and systems support providing for streamlined workflow

• Utilizing services from 3 hospital systems, 30 minutes from world class tertiary care

• Telephone/text based shared call including 1 in 6 weekends/holidays

• Care manager support within PCMH structure

• Daily care management rounds

• Volunteer provider physician services on rotation at co-located Clinica Medica Primaria de Rising Sun walk-in clinic for underserved Latin American community.
