Job Title - Physician MD/DO
We are seeking a full-time family practice or medicine-pediatrics physician to join our growing practice. The physician will deliver primary health care services, including integrated primary and behavioral health care, to the poor and under-served in Albany, New York.
Provide direct primary adult and pediatric health services, including gynecological care, to patients.
Order laboratory and radiology tests and refer patients to specialists when appropriate.
Enter patient information in the electronic health record accurately and in a timely fashion.
Develop patient treatment goals and work with personnel in the development of patient-centered care plans.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
Provides appropriate clinical information on patient visits to permit appropriate grant or insurance billing.
Collaborate with and direct behavioral health personnel in providing appropriate behavioral health care for patients.
Participate in the off-hours on-call process as assigned (nights, weekends and holidays as needed). This involves responding to patient phone calls (approximately 1-2/night) but does not require the provider to come to the office.
Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
Attend staff and provider meetings.
Education, Skills, and Experience
MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Current license to practice in New York State or the ability to obtain a license prior to the start of employment.
Board certification or eligibility in family practice or medicine-pediatrics.
Agreement with vision, values and statement of faith.
Minimum two years' experience as a family practice physician.
Experience working with under-served populations and community-based programs.
Experience with and proficiency in working with electronic health records
Strong verbal, writing and problem solving skills .
