Job Title - Chief Operation Officer

Job Description·  

  • We are seeking experienced _ Chief Operations Officer _to develop and implement, in cooperation with the CEO, procedures and systems that serve to support the management and evaluation of all aspects of health center operations.

  • Evaluates Health Center operational performance. Participates with the CEO in the development of new programs and sites.

  • Ensures that the Health Center is in compliance with all appropriate local, state and federal laws.

  • Provides over-site of the organization’s clinical and administrative operations, ultimately responsible for smooth and efficient daily operations of the practice, assures that all medical equipment and all other physical properties are maintained and are in good operational condition.

  • Effectively plans and directs center operations. Must provide leadership, direction and guidance to the staff for which he/she is responsible.

Job Qualifications

 Education, Skills, and Experience   

  • Previous experience in a FQHC preferred.

  • Advance degree in Business Administration, or related discipline required. Masters degree in Business Management with emphasis on Health Care Administration is a plus.

  • Minimum of five to seven years of progressively responsible administration experience in health care industry, preferably in an under-served area.

  • Thorough working knowledge of all aspects of medical office operations including data and communication systems.

  • Thorough knowledge of the theory and practice of organizational management, preferably in a health care and/or not for profit environment.

  • Ability to formulate, initiate and supervise sound business and clinical policies and procedures.

  • Ability to interact with people at a variety of levels with outstanding verbal and written communications.

  • Excellent financial management and reporting skills focusing on cost containment.

  • Previous grant writing experience a plus.

  • Knowledge of health care administration, fiscal management and government regulations and reimbursement.
