Our clinic is a Christ-sustained community health center that seeks to promote the health of the community and its members by offering "eternal" medicine for all age groups, mentoring current and future care givers to deliver Christ-centered excellent health care.  Our vision is to see needy communities and individuals lifted up with their over-burden, so that they may carry their own responsibility and  help others.  We provide education for health maintenance and disease prevention, primary care, foot care, mental health care, and dental care; patient assistance for various needs;  travel medicine consultation and immunization for those going into mission fields  or doing humanitarian work abroad.  We work with local churches in making disciples of all who come and are called.

Job Title - Medical Assistant

Job Description·  

Urban, Community Health Center is seeking a part-time (24-30 hours per week) medical assistant to join our team immediately

  • Greet clients/patients in a courteous manner

  • Escort patients for tests/procedures

  • Accurately perform basic patient assessment activities as assigned (e.g. heights, weights,

    temps and blood pressures)

  • Safely and professionally collect blood samples, give injections, and assist providers with

    minor procedures and wound care

  • Complete prescription refill requests, prior authorizations, and lab orders as

    requested/approved by providers

  • Maintain lab equipment, instruments, as well as consumable clinical supply inventory

  • Maintain clean, organized, and stocked examination treatment rooms and lab

  • Professionally communicate schedule reminders, lab results, and general follow-up with

    patients over the phone

  • Record patient interactions accurately in their medical chart

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications 

Education, Skills, and Experience   

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • MA certification

  • Customer-focused and team-oriented

  • Disciplined and attentive to detail

  • Bilingual (Arabic, Russian, Spanish, and/or Ukrainian) preferred

  • Able to learn and employ technology (e.g. Electronic Health Record, online ordering systems, partner reporting) in support of patient care

  • Able to demonstrate the ability to embrace and personify the mission of our clinic: to provide excellent whole-person care to the underserved with

    the love of Christ.
