Associate Director of Social Services and HIV Care
We are a community health center providing affordable, bilingual and culturally-sensitive primary care and support services from its three locations in one of urban Pennsylvania’s most medically under-served communities. Services provided include: primary adult and pediatric care; dental care; prenatal and OB/GYN care; behavioral health consultation services; social services; spiritual care; on-site medication dispensaries; nutrition counseling; comprehensive HIV care; diabetes care; and, a range of new community-based health and wellness initiatives. Job Title - Associate Director of Social Services and HIV Care
The Associate Director of Social Services and HIV Care leads the Social Services Department and HIV care team and to ensure quality of service, staff management, and operational effectiveness.
Other responsibilities include: supervising the HIV care team; carrying a caseload of HIV patients; grant tracking and management; supervising the work of the Social Services Managers; and providing direct social work practice with patients.
The Associate Director of Social Services and HIV Care serves as a liaison to the staff to other outside organizations.
This position reports to the Director of Behavioral Health and Social Services.
This position currently includes both Social Services and HIV Care team responsibilties, but this may be subject to change; applicants qualified in Social Services responsibilities will be considered irregardless of HIV-related experience.
Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSW), required; Master of Social Work (MSW), preferred.
Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), preferred,
Bilingual in English and Spanish, or willing to learn Spanish through immersion training, required,
3+ years of supervisory experience, preferred,
Ability to integrate faith in the workplace and in all interactions with employees and external constituencies; desire and ability to share Christ with others.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, required.
Experience with grant management, preferred.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in interactions both internally and externally.
Demonstrated ability to maintain high level of accuracy in data entry, database maintenance, composing written communications, proofreading, etc.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and cultural competency.
Experience working in a team environment; willingness to take on a variety of tasks in support of the team.
Experience working on several projects simultaneously and managing deadlines successfully.
Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office products.
